Alister Wilson made a JP

Amongst Alister Wilson’s many accomplishments, a new feather has been added to his cap, that of being made a Justice of the Peace. This occurred at a special sitting of the Oamaru District Court in November 2010, presided over by Judge Coyle from Dunedin.

Only the most trustworthy members of the community are invited to become Justices of the Peace. Judge Coyle said that Alister is a worthy addition to the ancient and honourable role of JP.

Alister has many connections within the local community and he has worked with many organisations within Oamaru over the last 30 years including the Totara School Board, Enfield Rugby Club, North Otago Tennis Association, and the North Otago A&P Association. He has also been involved in Waitaki Boys’ High School and Enfield Rugby Club reunions, and was a church Deacon for 20 years.

Alister is a keen long distance runner and has organised regular weekly runs from the offices of Dean & Associates for like minded individuals.

Alister provides many attributes to Dean and Associates, and chief amongst them is his contribution to, and knowledge of, the local community.
